PHILANTHROPY & ALTRUISM

After losing my mother to Ovarian Cancer in 2017 after a five year battle, I decided to spend the rest of my life supporting and advocating for women's health. I aim to spotlight key industry issues, spread patient resource awareness, participate in prevention education, and raise money to fund cancer research. My goal is to offer a safe space for fellowship, kindness and sharing of knowledge. To make a difference and help affected individuals and their caregivers access social and financial resources. No one should feel alone, defeated, fallen or hopeless. Being a caregiver to my Mother for five years taught me so much about myself and how relationships are ultimately the most important thing we all have. Time is second.

I strive to teach my son that acts of kindness, service and altruism can be a delicate spark that enables positive change for the future. That a person’s intellect is just as important as outward appearances or physical beauty. That he knows he always can confide in me. He knows he should always treat women with respect. He will support those who may be too weak. And of course, to always be polite by saying

“thank you, please, excuse me and Sir & Ma’am.” Trying to "mother" my son without my own Mother’s guidance has humbled me. I can’t be the only one left wondering what if, thirsting for a Mother’s intuition and knowledge. I want others to know I stand in solidarity with them and their families. If you do decide to do me the honor of sharing your story, know you will never feel you are fighting alone. It will always be confidential support with an empathetic ear.
